Sales Tax Holiday for Back-to-School Shopping Starts Today

Starting today parents can take advantage of sales tax free back-to-school shopping.

Tax exempted items include: 

• Clothing and footwear $100 or less per item
• A single personal computer or computer-related accessories $1,000 or less
• General school supplies $20 or less per item

Items that do not qualify for the sales tax exemption include jewelry, handbags, watches and umbrellas. 

The sales tax holiday ends Saturday at midnight.
