Be sure to head to the polls today if your county is holding a special election. During the year, special elections occur in order to fill any vacancies that come up for elected officials after the general elections. To find sample ballots or your polling location, contact your local elections office. Remember to bring your official photo identification (such as your driver's license, passport or Voter ID card).

The results from today’s special elections will appear on the Secretary of State Elections Division results page.

Other important voting dates to keep in mind are:

  • October 7: Last day a person may register and be eligible to vote in the Municipal General Election and Runoff
  • October 15: Runoff Date
  • November 5: General Election/Special Election (to fill vacancies and propose questions)
  • December 3: Runoff Date
