Social Media in Georgia Government

A great way to stay connected with your Georgia government is through social media. Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn, Flickr, Instagram, Vine, Pinterest, YouTube—the list could go on and on. Many state agencies are on at least one social platform.

Agencies provide current updates, informative facts and breaking news through their social media accounts. It’s also a great way to communicate with your government. There is always at least one person who is an expert in that field monitoring each account.

If you have a question, concern or opinion, feel free to send them a direct message. Even if they don’t have what you’re looking for, they can usually point you in the right direction. They are here to engage with you, so why not use that?

You can find a list of agencies that have a Facebook or Twitter account on GeorgiaGov’s Agency page. However, be sure to check out each agency’s website for other accounts. For example, Economic Development’s Explore Georgia has 10 social media accounts—something for everyone.
