In 1876, William Harrison Braselton and his family moved from Hall County to the land that would become Braselton. Incorporated many years later on August 21, 1916, Braselton welcomed William Henry Braselton as its first mayor.

In 1995, the town purchased the home William Henry and Pallie Darby Braselton built and opened this historic structure, circa 1909, as the Town Hall in October 1998.
