Jeffersonville, the county seat of Twiggs County, remembers President Thomas Jefferson. Originally called Rain's Store, Jeffersonville earned city status in 1828.
Built around 1903 and renovated in 1979, the Twiggs County Courthouse is listed on the National Register of Historic Places.
