Voters head to the polls today to cast ballots for the general election. If you haven't already voted this morning, log into My Voter Page to find your polling location and review a sample ballot.
Precinct hours run today from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. In general, peak voter turnout occurs before and after traditional work hours. This morning's rush saw lines snaked around precincts, some voters showing up more than an hour before the polls' opening, other voters in metro Atlanta toting umbrellas and turning out despite the day's gray, rainy gloom. The afternoon rush likewise promises lines from 4:30 p.m. to 7 p.m. Any voter who is waiting in line to vote by 7 p.m. will still be allowed to cast a ballot.
When you arrive at your polling location, you'll need to present official photo identification. Your driver's license, passport or Voter ID card will all work.
