Bring One for the Chipper

December 26, 2013
A wood chipper shoots mulch into a truck.

Wondering what to do with that used Christmas tree in your living room? Recycle it!

Bring One for the Chipper provides Georgians with the opportunity to put their discarded Christmas trees to use. Sponsored by the Department of Community Affairs, this massive recycling event will be hosted by organizations such as Home Depot, The Davey Tree Expert Company and WXIA-TV. Bring your tree to any participating Home Depot location and see your tree turn into reusable mulch! Metro Atlanta residents also have the option of having free mulch delivered to their homes.

For over 20 years, the Keep Georgia Beautiful Foundation has been reducing waste by turning festive trees into useful mulch. By bringing your festive greenery to a participating mulching location, you can do your part to recycle and provide sustainable energy. Join in the fun this year and Bring One for the Chipper!
