Learn About the Peach Pass

Cars sitting in traffic.

For the latest on Peach Passes, check out our 2017 update.

Georgia commuters are well-acquainted with the frustration of traffic on the interstate. With the high volume of cars traveling to and from the perimeter, I-85 can get heavily backed up. Tired of looking at the express lane with envy? Get your Peach Pass!

Here are some quick facts about the Peach Pass:

  • The pass is a small electronic sticker that you place on your windshield and pays the toll for driving in the express lanes from Chamblee Tucker Road, just south of I-285, to Old Peachtree Road in Gwinnett County (about 16 miles).
  • Express lanes cost anywhere in the range from 0.01 cents to 0.90 cents per mile, depending on the amount of traffic.
  • If you want to use the express lanes, you MUST register for a Peach Pass. However, you don’t have to pay if you: Have a carpool consisting of 3 or more people, drive a motorcycle, have an emergency vehicle or an Alternative Fuel Vehicle (hybrids not included).
  • You can open your Peach Pass account with a minimum $20 deposit after setting up a new account.

If you would rather open your Peach Pass account in person than online, you can visit one of their locations. Also, if you don’t want to get your credit or debit card involved, you can pay cash for a Pay N Go! Peach Pass at a participating CVS or Walgreens store.

For more information regarding the Peach Pass, visit their website or give them a call at 1-855-PCH-PASS (724-7277).
