New Cobb County DDS Opens Today

June 16, 2015

Today a new and improved Cobb County Department of Driver Services (DDS) licensing center opens. The old Marietta location at 2800 Canton Rd. (Piedmont Village Shopping Center) closed on Friday, June 12, 2015. The new center is now located at:

3690 Old Highway 41 NW
Kennesaw, GA 30144

It’s about ¼ of a mile north of North Cobb High School. They will be open Tuesday through Friday from 7:30 a.m. – 6:30 p.m. and Saturday from 7:30 a.m. – noon.

Keep in mind that today will be a very busy first day of operation. Typically, Tuesdays are our busiest days at every location. We recommend going to any DDS location on Thursdays and Fridays.

Once you have a secure ID (if you have a gold star in the top right corner of your license), most services can actually be done on the DDS website. For example, you can change your address or phone number using our online applications. No trip to a DDS licensing center needed!
