September 22, 2015

The job hunt can feel like an endless abyss of applications, resumes and cover letters. Not only is it exhausting to fill out application after application, but it can also feel daunting trying to find a relevant job opening.

Especially in today’s digital world, information of all sorts rests at our fingertips. However, doing a quick Google search or surfing through LinkedIn doesn’t always produce the results we want. So many options appear, it can be overwhelming. Also,

How do we know these jobs are relevant?
Or real?
Or with credible companies?
What if it’s a scam?

These are questions we must take into consideration while searching for job openings online.

Georgia Department of Labor

Luckily, the Georgia Department of Labor (DOL) provides a plethora of free resources for us. Their information targets Georgia jobs specifically, helping narrow the overwhelming results from a Google search while vetting for credibility.

If you’ve been to DOL’s website recently, you might have noticed it looks a little different than it used to. That’s because on August 28, DOL launched a new website! With a cleaner new look, reorganized information and a highly robust search feature, the new DOL site should help you find what you’re looking for quickly and easily.

Here are some quick links that should help direct you in the right way to finding your new job:
