This Week in GeorgiaGov: State Parks
Georgia's State Park system celebrates its 85th year with the Birthday Bash Geocache! Winners will receive a limited-edition coin, not to mention the chance to exploring some of Georgia's natural wonders from a unique perspective. Are you ready for the hunt?
Each year, more than a million people visit Jekyll Island, a state-owned coastal barrier island and “the nearest faraway place” for many Georgians.
This Saturday, Friends of Georgia State Parks & Historic Sites invites all Georgians to get out and experience state parks. Friends will be providing free parking and free admission at participating parks all over the state for Your State Parks Day.
