Settled in 1840, Eastman, the seat for Dodge County, incorporated in 1905. The city recognizes the contributions of William Pitt Eastman, who donated most of the land for the town. At one time, visitors referred to Eastman as the "Paris of the Wiregrass" due to its high degree of culture.
Eastman is home to the famous Stuckey Candy Plant. Visitors can tour the candy shop, pecan orchards and several homes in the city.
