Department of Revenue temporarily suspending in-person services. Tax filing and payment deadline extended to July 15. To limit person-to-person interactions, please conduct all business with the Department of Revenue via online services, telephone, or designated secure lockbox locations. DOR offers a number of motor vehicle and tax related services online, including checking the status of your refund online. Additionally, the filing and payment deadline for state taxes has been moved to July 15.
IRS extends tax filing and payment deadline to July 15 and introduces additional tax relief measures. In addition to extending the tax filing and payment deadline to July 15, the federal government has established a special section focused on steps to help taxpayers, business and others affected by the coronavirus.
Georgia Tax Tribunal hearings scheduled for our April 7, 2020 calendar have been canceled. These cases will be rescheduled to May 2020. Additionally, all filing deadlines have been tolled through April 13, 2020, at 11:59 p.m.
