  • You can still drop off your completed and signed absentee ballot to a drop box or your County Board of Registrar's Office by the time polls close at 7 p.m. You can only do this if you've already requested and received an absentee ballot.

Having a Problem at the Polls?

If you encounter a problem at the polls, contact your County Board of Registrar's Office. You can also call the Secretary of State at 404-656-2871 (in metro Atlanta) or 877-725-9797 (elsewhere in Georgia) to report an issue.

What are provisional ballots?

If you show up to your polling location but the poll workers cannot confirm your identity, address, or other necessary information, you may request a provisional ballot. Your vote will count as long as you resolve the eligibility issues by the end of the next day. You must resolve the issue with your County Board of Registrar in order for your vote to be counted.

If you show up to the wrong polling location, a poll worker can assist you in finding the correct polling location. If it is after 5 p.m., you may sign a document attesting that you cannot make it to your correct polling location and cast a provisional ballot. Follow up with your County Board of Registrar to resolve any issues with your ballot.
