Lauren McDonald, Jr

Lauren "Bubba" McDonald Jr. is a long-serving member of the Georgia Public Service Commission, appointed to the Commission in June 1998 by Governor Zell Miller. He held the seat until 2002. Again in 2008, 2014, and 2020, Georgians elected McDonald to serve on the Commission. He presided over the advent of solar power in Georgia, helping make Georgia one of the fastest-growing states in the country for solar energy.

McDonald is a statewide elected official representing PSC District 4, which covers 18 counties in the northeast region of Georgia.
