Early voting, also known as advance voting, is a convenient way to skip the Election Day crowds. For the 2026 General Election, you can cast your ballot in person starting October 13, 2026.

Where to Vote

Unlike Election Day where you must go to your specific precinct, you can vote at any early voting site within your county of residence.

If your usual spot has a long line, you can simply head to another location in your county to save time.

When to Vote

State law guarantees early voting days, but specific hours can vary by county. Typically, you can expect:

  • Monday through Friday, usually 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.
  • Mandatory voting is held on the second and third Saturdays before Election Day, typically 9 a.m. to 4 p.m.
  • Some counties offer optional voting on the second and third Sundays. Check your local elections office for availability.
  • Many counties offer extra hours as early as 7 a.m. or as late as 7 p.m.
